The Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia (ABIM) strongly condemns the latest brutality committed by Israel at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

ABIM refers to the report of an invasion by the Zionist regime on the 5th April 2023 (Wednesday) which resulted in serious injuries to 7 people, in addition to hundreds of others who were lightly injured while they were praying in the mosque.

It was reported that 400 Palestinian Muslims were arrested in this incident which caused severe damage to some of the main facilities of the mosque.

ABIM condemns the actions of the Zionist regime which also involved brutally beating the pilgrims using batons and guns to the point of causing injuries and suffocation.

Witnesses also stated that the Israeli Zionist police used excessive force when they threw grenades and tear gas at the congregations who were performing prayers and reciting the Quran.

These actions were particularly barbaric because it was done to Muslims worshiping in conjunction with this glorious month of Ramadan, which clearly does not present any security threat.

Therefore this cruelty is a crime against humanity because it involves the general public including women and children as reported in international media.

In the name of truth and justice, ABIM urges the international community to open their eyes and express their solidarity with the Palestinian people who are continuously victims of the brutality of the Zionist regime that are well outside of universal humanitarian norms.

ABIM also demands that world leaders, especially those from Muslim countries including Malaysia, demonstrate their solidarity by exerting political pressure until this kind of cruelty is stopped altogether.
